Leslie Martin is an independent book editor specializing in manuscripts with Jewish themes. She has edited novels, short stories, essays, fiction for young readers and memoirs, and is currently editing a history of a major Minnesota Jewish nonprofit.
She is the editor of Dori Margolin Wenstein's Ya & YoYo series, Sheyna Galyan's mysteries and the novel by Rabbi Amy Ariel for middle grade readers, and has worked with other extraordinary authors here and abroad. (Book photos to be added.)
Leslie is also the copy editor for three community newspapers. Her essays and feature stories have been published in the Star Tribune, Pioneer Press, MPR.org, American Jewish World and many others.
A native of Akron, Ohio, Leslie graduated from the Interlochen Arts Academy, Brandeis University and the University of Minnesota's Hubbard School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She has never regretted breaking the promise to herself to spend no more than one winter in Minnesota.
