Emily Goldberg has been directing films that highlight our shared humanity for over 35 years. Her documentary, “Venus of Mars”, screened at over 40 film festivals worldwide, among them the International Documentary Festival in Amsterdam, AFI Docs, and at the Museum of Modern Art. The film received “Best Documentary” awards from festivals in Milwaukee, Indianapolis, and New York, and was named one of the top 25 documentaries of 2005 by Video Librarian. A 2007 McKnight Artist Fellow, her Emmy award-winning work has been broadcast on PBS, TLC, and RAI (Italy).

Goldberg directed the iconic 1988 "The Minneapolis Sound" documentary, has filmed in Tanzania with primatologist Jane Goodall, in Central America with cyclist/adventurer and Blue Zones author Dan Buettner, and all over Eastern Europe with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. Having endured more than three decades of Minnesota winters, she is proud to call Minneapolis home.
