Artist Statement
I studied with Alvina Krause, an amazing theatre teacher, who taught me to love the art in myself and not myself in the art. She had no time for ego. As such, I approach projects, theatre performances, film and voice-over work, as a servant to the project.
I have acted in the Twin Cities for years. I have worked at The Minnesota Jewish Theatre - now Six Points Theatre - The Jungle theatre, Mixed Blood Theatre, Artistry, Theatre Pro Rata, Theatre Unbound, Pioneer Place in St. Cloud, and many others. However, with the advent of Covid, that avenue of creativity and expression came to a screeching halt. So, I began focusing on my voice over career, moving it from a hobby to a career.
I was a high school English teacher at Minnetonka High School for twenty-five years. I adored capitalizing on my theatre background to bring literature alive for young people. I am a fine writer and thoroughly enjoy crafting my own and other's writing.
