Artist Statement
I have studied classical painting and drawing with master teachers in America and Italy, but find that I am more interested in impressionistic styles. Lately, I have been playing with material and color theory.
Born and raised in Chicago. Studied painting at Pitzer College in Claremont, California and traditional drawing at Charles H Cecil Studios in Florence, Italy. Worked for an arts and culture website in Tel Aviv, Israel and at the Tychman Shapiro Gallery in St Louis Park, Minnesota. Jordy has participated in the Jewish Artists Lab for a number of years. She has been the Communications Associate for Rimon: The Minnesota Jewish Arts Council since 2018.
