Artist Statement
Through the process of repurposing and recycling, I transform everyday objects into wearable art pieces. I look at my materials as having more than one function, one purpose, and one life.
Hi! I’m Laura Wolovitch and I’m a Minneapolis resident. I’ve been designing jewelry for over 35 years.
I began my life-long foray into jewelry making in the early 1980’s in Madison, Wisconsin, while working on my Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education.
Using my imagination and budding entrepreneurship, I created my own business from scratch. I spent many years on the local art fair circuit. Within a few years I also started working with kids, doing birthday parties and teaching jewelry camps and workshops. I enjoy the spontaneity and creativity that kids possess.
You can find my jewelry designs at many stores and boutiques throughout the Twin Cities. I continue to sell at art fairs and out of my home where my studio is always buzzing with new creations.

I teach Jewelry Workshops and Jewelry Camps for kids. I work with the Girl Scouts and help them achieve their Jeweler Badge.
