Artist Statement
Ivre is the name; the etymology came whispered through a lock. There a key came loose, like contraband aboard, before I knew to trace it back to its author’s hand. The hearer of my heart, whose garment is an echo, bouncing across the marble floors down hallways. Mine are full of fire, foundling-empty-headed thoughts, jadis, they fall faster than their weighty counterparts, but this here which I write, is poetry: to be written-off before the dawn, like dew drops off and on, from minds of iron-will, and loyal as the knots in elder boughs of words well wooded. Before the very radiance, I sit to soak up all that’s taught me, learned from the last to the next, and likewise passed all the way on down, til men might find the maker’s seal, and thus distinguish right from wrong.
He has been in numerous bands ranging from heavy metal to synth pop, sharing the stage with the likes of Slipknot, Veil of Maya, and Ice Nine Kills. He currently makes solo music under the moniker Ivre, meaning ( ). His sound is a rock R&B mix and his lyrics focus heavily on biblical references and kabbalistic themes. He sells beats, mixes and masters music, and plays live original music.
